When on the coast...

Samantha decided to have muscles for dinner. She definitely takes after her grandfather and her aunt Deena! Both girls really enjoyed them!

Arch Rock

It’s a bit foggy but you can just make out the arch in the rock out in the water. When we can see the view we have really enjoyed it. The rocky Pacific coast is beautiful!

Welcome to California!

We couldn’t get the picture coming in, so we cross the street to get the picture as we were leaving.

Welcome to Oregon!

Crescent Beach, CA

We did some exploring in the town of Crescent Beach. The coast line is gorgeous and the weather was perfect, but there was no ice cream shop anywhere to be found!

Her "Lewis & Clark" pose.

Battery Point Licht House. You can only visit during low tide. Our timing was not right...

We walked the 1/2 mile to the end fo the jetty to check out the concrete "jacks".

Morgan Creek, CA

This was a perfect spot for a beach picnic.

Samantha had a great time exploring the beach and climbing on the rocks.

Trees of Mystery

A quintessential wacky wild and weird stop. I guess they figured big trees needed Paul Bunyan and Babe the big blue ox. It’s an adventure park type thing with a trim and walkways to see the big trees. We took advantage of some photo ops and then meandered on our way

Jim remembers being here many years ago with Willie & Jungle. We will have to search for those pictures and compare. I’m sure it has not changed much!

Big Tree

This is one of the few actually. Soooo trees do not get all the traffic. This one is not necessarily the biggest a park named early when people visited.

These are big trees!

Redwoods are taller than the Sequoias and not as think. It’s hard to compare when you can’t see the top!

Redwood National Park, CA

It’s an odd park that runs along Hwy 101 and is part national park and part state park. Then there are trees that are along the road and not in any designated park. There are so many tall trees and they are everywhere!

These were on the Cathedral Trees trail in the National Park.
